Guernsey’s Emergency Ambulance Service is doing everything it can to keep staff safe and protect islanders during the coronavirus pandemic.

St John Ambulance Guernsey is following advice from public health services and national ambulance bodies, such as NARU, during this rapidly evolving situation.

From time to time you may see ambulance staff wearing face masks and disposable aprons in addition to their standard gloves at a range of incidents. We would like to reassure islanders that this additional personal protective equipment is being worn to protect staff and minimise the risks to patients. It does not mean we think you have coronavirus we are just being careful to protect our patients and clinicians. Staff are also following enhanced cleaning guidelines for vehicles and equipment.

For the latest information and advice on the coronavirus please go to the States of Guernsey website or Facebook page.

 Thank you for your support.
