Milly has been an active volunteer for St John Ambulance for more than 20 years and was previously recognised when she received the Honorary St John Award, the Serving Sister, which is approved by Her Majesty the Queen. She is one of the island’s few trained air escorts and accompanies patients off island for medical treatment. She also travels as a carer with the charity ‘Jumbulance’, enabling physically disabled people to go on holiday, offering much needed respite to families. Milly was shortlisted for the Specsavers Unsung Hero award in the Guernsey Awards for Achievement 2014. Her other voluntary work includes first aid training to primary school children and first aid cover for all Priaulx league football games.
