Acting Senior Officer John Le Page and Paramedic Lorna Harborow have successfully completed the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Providers two day course, which was offered  by the Institute of Health and Social Services as part of the UK Resuscitation Council training to Guernsey delegates.

ALS trains participants in life saving protocols such as resuscitation and cardiac arrest management. The course included lectures on causes and prevention of cardiac arrest, acute coronary syndromes, post resuscitation care and ethics. John and Lorna also learnt practical skills and attended workshops on airway management, monitoring and rhythm recognition and blood gases.
