The Health Editor from BBC News, Hugh Pym, visited Guernsey two weeks’ ago to interview representatives from various parts of Health Care. This was part of a series in which the BBC is looking at alternate ways of providing ambulance services and primary care, in comparison with the National Health Service.

Following a short visit to the St John Marine Ambulance our chief officer Jon Beausire was interviewed by Mr Pym on how St John provides the ambulance service locally and the benefits of being able to deliver services that are not fully funded by government and has a unique subscription scheme.

You can view the three minute report on the BBC website, which was broadcast last Friday on BBC national news, here.
