It was a busy Bank Holiday weekend for St John Ambulance and Rescue Service.

From 6pm on Friday to 8am on Tuesday, our staff responded to 31 emergency calls and undertook 16 non-emergency transfers.

The Flying Christine III was called into action twice over the weekend, responding to a medical emergency in Herm on Saturday and one in Sark on Sunday.

Our team and our St John Ambulance volunteers were present at several public events including the karting, sand racing, Hill Climb, L’Ancresse Horse Racing and the World Aid Walk. Following an incident at L’Ancresse one woman was transferred to hospital for further treatment. There were also minor incidents at the sand racing and the Hill Climb events.

We would like to thank all our staff and volunteers for their hard work over this busy period.
