Two recently qualified Emergency Medical Technicians have been presented with their course certificates having completed their training earlier this year.

Brad Stuckey and Kadie Ormrod received Level 5 Diploma in First Response Emergency and Urgent Care in February, however the presentation was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The certificates were presented by Medical Director Neil Robinson.

Brad and Kadie undertook the training in Guernsey, along with another locally based clinician (Marcia Bale) and a colleague from the Jersey Ambulance Service. The course was led by a UK paramedic tutor and covered anatomy and physiology, systems of the body, patient assessment, diseases, disorders and medical conditions, administration of medicines, maternity and elderly care. The academic course was followed by assessments and period of workplace activity.

Brad, Kadie and Marcia are now fully operational working alongside paramedics, fellow EMTs and Emergency Care Assistants.
