The St John Ambulance & Rescue Service has once again received a Certificate of Thanks from Guernsey Work Experience, (an initiative of the States of Guernsey Careers Service) for their assistance in providing work experience placements for local students.

Every year over 800 local students are given the opportunity to experience the world of work, the majority of these students are entitled to at least one week of work experience before they leave school.  Work experience can give the student the opportunity to try out an area of work that interests them as a career after they leave school, or perhaps one which they are unsure about and need assistance to decide upon.  Work experience can also help students to understand the requirements to enter a specific job or career.
