Almost 1,400 people have so far completed the survey that will help shape the future of Guernsey’s ambulance service.

Any islander wishing to have their say is encouraged to do so before Sunday, when the survey will close. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete.

The steering group tasked with developing the most effective ambulance service for Guernsey launched the online survey last month in order to understand the public’s views on key issues.

Chairman John Hollis said the group was pleased so many people had responded.

‘In total, 1,395 have so far taken the survey and we are grateful that they took the time to complete it,’ he said.

‘We have exceeded our target (for a statistically valid response) by more than 30%, but are keen that anyone else who wants to have their say has the opportunity to do so,’ he said.

‘We are keeping the consultation open until 26 July and I would encourage any islanders who have not yet taken it to spend 15 minutes giving us their views on what the future ambulance service should look like.’
