The 2021 Round Table Harbour Carnival has been raising funds for the St John Community First Responder Scheme.

The event includes dinghy racing, tug-of-war, rubber duck race and the man-powered flight, as well as live music, the Crown & Anchor and fireworks.

St John not only took part in the man-powered flight – but actually won the competition! Phil Ozanne, Community Operations Manager took the leap in a home made cardboard ambulance to claim the top prize and tick off the challenge from his bucket list.

The Round Table nominated St John as the main beneficiary of the annual event with funds raised supporting the Community First Responder scheme for the purchase of new equipment including new defibrillators and first response bags.

St John volunteers were also on duty along the St Peter Port seafront to provide first aid cover for visitors and participants.

(Thanks to the Guernsey Press for the Man Powered Flight photo).
