Two medics from Guernsey are giving up Christmas with their families to care for homeless people in London.

St John Ambulance Guernsey paramedic Dean Robilliard and his wife Tilly, who is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at the Emergency Department of the PEH are volunteering their time and skills with the charity Crisis at Christmas.

Dean and Tilly will be working with guests at the North London centre from Christmas Eve through to Boxing Day. The couple from Guernsey will be on duty alongside volunteer doctors, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide medical treatment, health promotion and advice to people using the service over the festive period.

Dean said: “It’s something we have both wanted to do for some time, but with us both working shifts, it has been hard to organise. We are looking forward to supporting those in need over Christmas.”
