Following the announcement made on Friday 6th January about the forthcoming closure of the Healthcare Shop we can now confirm that the shop will cease trading and close permanently on Monday 20th February 2023.

In the meantime the shop on the Rohais will remain open for business Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm.

As we approach the closure of our facility, we would like to thank our customers for their business and support over the years.

Starting on Tuesday 25th January the shop will be holding a closing down sale, with up to 50% off on various healthcare products, first aid supplies and mobility equipment, including savings of more than £400 on Repose Riser Recliner chairs. Discounts will be available only while stocks last.

Since the original announcement was made, St John has been working closely with Mercury Distribution to provide some continuity for the supply of certain healthcare products locally.  We are now able to report that Mercury will be taking over select services for our customers following the closure on 20th February. Discussions are also ongoing with other parties about potential continuity for some other parts of the healthcare operation.

St John continues to work to support staff at this difficult time.

The Healthcare Shop and St John Training Services are a separate entity to the St John Ambulance Guernsey charity and the St John Ambulance & Rescue Service, so the activities of the charity and the operations of the Emergency Ambulance Service will be unaffected by the closure of the Healthcare Shop. St John Training Services will continue to operate, delivering first aid training to local businesses and the community.
