The Guernsey Ambulance & Rescue Service has trained ten volunteers from Herm Island as Community First Responders. They each completed the IHCD’s First Person on Scene course and have been equipped to deal with life threatening emergencies until the arrival of the Marine Ambulance Flying Christine III with Paramedics on board.

The Chief Ambulance Officer travelled to Herm last week to formally present the First Responders with their certificates of qualification.
