St John Ambulance Guernsey is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Manager to work for the charity.

 

The post-holder will be responsible for issuing invoices, processing payments, preparing quarterly and year end accounts and record keeping for St John Ambulance Guernsey.

You will have relevant qualifications and practical experience of Quickbook and other accounting systems.  Good communication, numeracy and written skills are also essential for this role.

The successful post holder will prepare quarterly board of directors finance pack including actual versus budgeted figures and summarised descriptive summaries of material and relevant facts.

You will also be expected to process donations, chase debtors and calculate salaries, as well as answering accounting queries from debtors and creditors. You will liaise with a range of people and organisations, such as tenants, auditors, bank staff and Social Security or Income Tax office staff.

You will work as part of the St John team and will be expected to assist colleagues and volunteers with any tasks as required.

St John Ambulance Guernsey is a local charity serving the community with First Aid provision, youth services, library service, the Flying Christine marine ambulance, Voluntary Ambulance Reserves, Community First Responders and the recent Covid-19 response.
