St John Healthcare is looking for a fulltime sales assistant to join our friendly team.

Our aim is to serve the community by helping to improve the lives of islanders by providing equipment which helps with mobility, accessibility and health issues. With the right help and advice we can help to promote independent living, so people who want to, can stay in their own homes for longer.

As a sales assistant, you’ll be able to help our customers and find the best possible solution for their needs. If you have previously worked in healthcare this would be a benefit but full training will be provided if not.

St John Healthcare is the Channel Island agent for Stannah Stairlifts and Premier Partner for Stilitz Homelifts. The shop on the Rohais also stocks a wide range of mobility scooters, wheelchairs, accessibility and healthcare products to promote independent living. The shop also stocks a wide range of first aid kits and accessories.

As part of the St John organisation in Guernsey St John Healthcare supports the work of the St John Ambulance charity in the island and the Emergency Ambulance Service.

Responsibilities will include arranging and assisting with the delivery of customer orders, ensure the safety, suitability and cleanliness of the equipment supplied, maintaining stock and ordering supplies, dealing with payments and customer accounts.

You will also liaise with States departments, occupational therapists, healthcare professionals, hospitals and other agencies as necessary to ensure that excellent customer service is provided to all.
