At the end of 2012 a joint emergency services exercise was held between The St John Ambulance & Rescue Service and the Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service in simulating several incidents on board a cargo vessel whilst moored alongside in St Peter Port Harbour.  In the first incident a simulated patient was rescued from the engine room and transferred to the St John Marine Ambulance the Flying Christine III and in the second incident a simulated patient trapped beneath fallen pallets was rescued and transferred ashore using the turntable ladder.
