The St John Emergency Ambulance Service is holding a corporate  karting event to raise funds for the new emergency ambulance. The social event takes place on the evening of Thursday 4th October at the Kart Track and will consist of a two hour Enduro race, making it an ideal evening for entertaining staff.

Each team will be made up of up to 8 competitors with a limit of only 1 professional/MSA registered driver per team. All racers must be 16 years of age or over and fit to race a kart. The event will conclude under the spectacle of a floodlight finish and there will be a prize for the winning team.

In addition to the racing participants will also be able try the new state of the art race simulator, which is an exact ‘virtual reality’ experience of the Guernsey track. We will be offering prizes for the individual who sets the fastest lap of the evening.

Food will be provided by James Ferguson from ‘Cooked’. The menu will be Mexican chili and all the trimmings, with vegetarian options available. Drinks will also be provided, but please note that due to the nature of the event no alcohol will be available on the night.

We will also hope to have an ambulance at the event so people can see what we are raising money for. The new vehicle will be based on a UK design, adapted for Guernsey and will provide a modern mobile treatment centre for St John paramedics to deliver advanced care in the pre-hospital environment.

Entry is just £700 per team. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a competitive, yet relaxed evening of motorsport and support the fundraising for a new mobile medical treatment centre for the island.
