The St John Emergency Ambulance Service has received a £600 donation from local building company JW Rihoy & Sons towards the purchase of a new emergency ambulance vehicle.

Rihoy & Sons held a fundraising event at Les Rocquettes Hotel on the evening of the England’s first match in the World Cup. Employees and guests took part in a raffle to guess the time of the first goal and the Guernsey Raiders donated a rugby ball, signed by the victorious Guernsey Siam Cup winning side, for auction.St John Emergency Ambulance Service Executive Officer Tracey Baudains said “We’re very grateful to Rihoy & Sons and everyone who supported their World Cup event. We really appreciate the donation and the support everyone is giving our appeal.”
