The St John Ambulance and Rescue Service had a busy evening last night.

The marine ambulance crew responded to a medical emergency in Sark, while the road ambulance crew responded to a patient with a potentially immediately life threatening illness.

The Flying Christine III was launched in extremely rough sea conditions, crewed by our expert volunteer coxswain and engineer. An SJARS clinical crew was also called in to treat the patient whilst en-route back to Guernsey.

Both patients were treated and transferred to the hospital for further assessment.11130292_350919781778993_637372042356265817_n

We would like to thank our crew members who respond in all weather and conditions to ensure the safe transfer of patients to Guernsey and to the hospital.

The Flying Christine III is funded by donations and relies on the support of the Guernsey public to operate.
