One night in 2014 Guernsey resident Jennie started to experience some chest pain. She said didn’t want an ambulance, but her family insisted and an ambulance was called. When the crew arrived paramedic Jerry quickly assessed Jennie and convinced that she needed to go to hospital. Within minutes of arriving at A&E Jennie collapsed and needed resuscitating. She was later flown to Southampton for further treatment.

Jennie is once again living life to the full and enjoying everyday. She says she owes her life to Jerry, the teams at the PEH in Guernsey and Southampton General Hospital. Last week Jennie popped into the ambulance station and had a chance to catch up with Jerry again.
