The St John Health Care Shop recently held an “Open Morning” to enable local health care professionals to view and discuss a range of specialist beds and associated equipment, including leg lifters and pillow lifters supplied by ‘Centrobed’,  a UK specialist bed manufacturer.

The beds which are designed to increase patient’s independence and help reduce risk of injury to their
carers, can be produced in a wide range of widths, lengths and start heights, to ensure that they are suitable for each patients’ needs.  Leg lifters are designed to support the lower leg and assist the patient to move to and from their bed whilst pillow lifters enable the head end of the bed to be electronically raised, so that the patient is in a more upright position.  A representative from ‘Centrobed’ was available during the morning to give demonstrations and answer any questions.
