IRB Rescue at Grandes Rocques

Following a 999 call, the St John Inshore Rescue Boat Team together with an emergency ambulance crew and Incident Officer responded to Grandes Rocques beach where a teenager had sustained injuries having jumped into the sea from the ‘K2 Rock’.

The patient was treated in situ before being conveyed to shore, from where he was taken by ambulance to the Emergency Department.

The St John Ambulance and Rescue Service would like to remind the public that whilst jumping into the sea from rocks can be fun, there are associated risks.
