Job Opportunity: Training & Education Lead

Guernsey’s Emergency Ambulance Service is seeking to appoint a full-time Training and Education Lead.

The ideal candidate will be an inspirational individual who will oversee all aspects of education, training and development for the service.

 

This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to learning and development of blue light  service staff and volunteers.

The successful candidate will join a well established and progressive management team and also have the opportunity to train to become a Tactical Commander.

You will be a registered paramedic with appropriate academic and/or professional experience. You will have an in-depth understanding of contemporary pre-hospital care and be committed to quality education and training.

The Emergency Ambulance Service section of St John Ambulance Guernsey provides the statutory emergency ambulance service for the island of Guernsey on behalf of the States of Guernsey.

The island is the second largest of the Channel Islands and has a population of around 62,000 people. Guernsey is a British Crown Dependency, but is not part of the UK. It has its own government and health system. The Emergency Ambulance Service responds to more than five-and-a-half thousand call every year. In addition to the road ambulance service St John also operates a marine ambulance, Flying Christine III.
